Back to OH...

for a little bit! I still have so many pictures to post from our trip last month!!

We had a great weekend....busy, but productive! Friday, we relaxed and went to bed early because we had a big day on Saturday. We bought a new car!! Well technically it's an SUV. We had to trade in Matt's truck after an unsuccessful attempt to sell it :( I will miss the truck, but we have moved on to our new 2003 Acura MDX. I love it!! We went down to Boulder with the intent to purchase a Honda Pilot, but after driving the Acura...well you know the story. I'll try to post a picture soon, but it's gray with gray interior. It has a sun roof, heated seats and a 6-disc cd changer among other things! I love it....however, not that we're going to need the heated seats in CA. :)

Yesterday, Beth, Reagan and Lindsey came over for some shish kabobs and potatoes and stayed for coffee and dessert. It was great catching up with them....and even Shawn was able to swing over for a few minutes after trying to get some work done before this morning. :)

Easter is so much fun!

So, I know I'm about a week late with the whole Easter post, but hey, at least I'm trying. :) We had a pretty uneventful Easter...Matt came home that afternoon and the weather was absolutely horrible. From what I've heard, that's pretty much how it was everywhere. The Easter bunny came to visit Avery and brought mommy and daddy a TON of chocolate!!

This weekend just absolutely flew by. Matt's mom and dad came to visit and we had such a great time with them....as always, the visit went by too quickly. Avery had so much fun hanging out with her Grandma and Grandpa. I will be posting pictures sooner rather than later. On Saturday we went down the Denver Children's Museum and I think we were more tired than Avery. She had a blast, but she's just a little too young for most of the things there. They had a really cool place that took up pretty much the whole first floor....it was like a little town where the little ones could do all kinds of cool things. One of Avery's favorite things was the garden where they actually had stuffed veggies that you could pull up out of the garden. She plowed a few little kids over, but at least their parents were understanding. Ha Ha

Anyway, enjoy the pictures from our Easter festivities. More pictures from our OH and this past weekend to come! Tim and Tammi had Avery and I over the Saturday before Easter to dye eggs. Don't get the wrong idea from some of the pictures....the kids WANTED to go in the dog cages....I swear!!! Ha Ha

The Easter Bunny brought Avery...

a pigtail!!! Ha Ha Not really, but I just thought I'd share my exciting news that I was officially able to put Avery's hair in a little pig tail on top of her head! It may not be much, but hey..it's a start! She did very well and only tried to take it out a couple times...I think she thought it was pretty cool as well. Maybe now people will stop calling her "buddy" or "fella" when we're out. :)

M-I-C-K-E-Y

No, I'm not going to do a rendition of the Micky Mouse Club song....however I am going to post a video of Avery saying her new word! Of course, every time I tried to get her say it on camera she wouldn't say it. I finally got it, but unfortunately you'll have to endure my annoying commentary at the beginning.

All of a sudden, Avery has just been in love with her Mickey Mouse stuffed animal, so I asked her "Who is this?"....of course not expecting an answer! I told her it was Mickey and right away she said "Mickey!" It was so cool!! Now when she starts saying Mickey we can't get her to stop.

Our weekend should be pretty good...Matt is gone but I'll be keeping myself busy. My friend Billie is coming over tonight to hang out and watch a movie...and then tomorrow Avery and I have a date with Tim, Tammi, Tanner and Evan to dye Easter eggs. I'm pretty sure Evan and Avery will want to have nothing to do with dyeing the eggs so Tammi and I will end up doing theirs! Oh well! What can you expect from 2 toddlers? :)

This is just a funny video of Avery playing her drum. Grandma Rose and Grandpa Tom got this for Avery for her 1st birthday I believe. She has a blast with it now and it has all these other little instruments...a shaker, a tambourine, bells and they are all shaped like bugs! Too cute. P.S. What you hear in the background is the dog moaning to go outside...just thought I'd clarify! Ha Ha
