The much anticipated...

patio!! So our family back home keeps asking to see pictures of the patio we had put in early this month. It turned out beautiful! We are very happy with it....however thanks to our wonderful weather and our schedules with work and such, we have yet to really enjoy it! We got the patio set on clearance from K Mart....and yes, we contributed to Martha Stewart. :) Here you go Rose...I hope you enjoy the picture! I would have taken more but I was on my lunch break and the dog was thinking it was playtime. I'm actually surprised I didn't get her in a shot!!

Our Crazy Weekend!

Avery and Evan...all bundled up!
Billie and I having some laughs. :)

Avery before the game....I think she had 3-4 layers of clothes on once it was all said and done!! I'm definitely not ready for winter!! Matt and Tim braving the cold and cooking our meal.

Well, it's gone from Summer to Winter here very quickly!!!!! Friday was cold and yucky, thankfully no snow that I'm aware of for Cheyenne yet though.

Friday night Tim and Tammi had us over for dinner, dessert, and a game. We had a ton of fun and the dinner was VERY YUMMY! Thank you so much guys, we had a wonderful time and as always you were very gracious hosts. (P.S. sorry we beat you so badly at the game we brought! Hee Hee Next time you pick!)

Saturday we ventured over to Laramie to watch UW play Air Force. Air Force won! We really weren't rooting for anyone, but I was pulling for Air Force to win of course!! It was a really good game, despite the snow and cold! Thanks again to Tim and Tammi because they let us hang out in the warmth of their camper. We were very thankful, especially when the big snow started coming down! Matt and Tim braved the cold and made us dinner. Tammi, Billie and I hung out inside with the kiddos.....we really got the better end of the bargain! :) We were really thinking we'd have to leave early because of Avery, but she did very well. And by very well I mean, she totally slept on our laps almost the entire time! She started getting fussy during half time, but she sucked her thumb, laid right down on our laps and we covered her up with a warm blanky. She slept through 20,000+ loud yelling fans!!!! I tell you, we are VERY lucky!! She slept for about a little over an hour. I couldn't believe it. We actually had to wake her up to leave!! HAHA

Today we've pretty much done nothing. Had to relax today from our busy day yesterday. Hope everyone else had a great weekend!

Goodbye Old Friend

Last week I had to do one of the most horrible and sad things I've ever done. Pepper, my kitty cat of 15 years, was put down. I kept putting off making the decision because he has been with me for so long. I got him when I was just 11 years old, so I really just thought he'd be around forever. I can hardly remember my life without this little cat in it. I'm sure to some people who do not have pets it seems very silly to make such a big deal about a pet, but they become part of your family. He wasn't always the best cat in the whole world but I loved him very much. He kept me company many times and he traveled with me when I moved to California, and now to Wyoming. He had diabetes...I know...crazy. We had to give him insulin twice a day. I tell you, what people will do for their animals. :)

The truth is it's still very sad for me to think about this which is why it took me so long to write this post.

Goodbye Pepper kitty. I will miss you very much.

Here he is with Sammi....we always thought they were secret best friends. :)

Avery's Birthday Pics

After a long battle with the Albertson's bakery department, here is Avery's first officialy birthday cake!! P.S. I made these really neat cupcakes for her first birthday party, but in all the chaos I didn't even take a picture. Did anyone at the party happen to take one???

Avery's birthday was sure busy. We went down to Fort Collins for a little shopping and then came back here for some dinner and cake. We got chocolate this time and she definitely made a mess of herself. :)

Before the bath.......

After the bath......opening presents.

I guess I now officially have a toddler!! That's really scarey to think about!! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. And Michelle, thanks so much for the comments!! I'm so glad you're leaving them...oh and thanks for the hilarious message on her birthday. I'm sorry we didn't get to the phone...we were right in the middle of dinner!! Tell Alexis and Riley that Avery says Thank you for the birthday message! :)

P.S. I'm having problems uploading videos...I'll try again tomorrow!

Avery's First Birthday Party!

We had Avery's first birthday party on Sunday and what a crazy day it was! We thought it was going to be a beautiful day...we had all kinds of fun outdoor activities planned for the adults and the kiddos. Well I guess it's typical that as soon as everyone started to arrive, it started to pour!! Needless to say we all stayed indoors in our tight quarters and REALLY enjoyed the closeness of our little family. :) Thank you so much to everyone who came. We are so thankful that you were able to spend that special day with us and celebrate the 1st birthday of our daughter. My mom and stepdad were able to come out as well and with all of us being away from home, that really made the day even more special.

I can't believe my little munchkin will be one in less than 2 days. When they tell you it goes by quickly, you can't imagine how quick it really goes! We are so blessed to have such a beautiful, healthy baby girl. I can't believe I could love something so much. I truly feel that she is the reason I am. I couldn't ask for a more loving and devoted father and husband. You are my soulmate and best friend Matt and I can't imagine going on this adventure we call life without you.

To all our friends and family back home and around the country, we wish you could be here with us to celebrate. You have all played a part in helping to create our family and we love you and miss you all very much.

OK, enough gushing! Enjoy the pictures and videos!!

Getting ready for her big day :)

In Remembrance...

I think these pictures say a lot about what happened on that horrible day and the strength of the American people. The top picture is of course taken on 9/11 and the picture below is ground zero today with the two lights shining up in to the sky. I don't think any of us will forget where we were at the exact moments the planes hit. Matt and I were both in our Senior year at Miami. I was awoken by a phone call from my friend Mike who was frantically telling me to turn on the TV. I sat on my couch with all of my roommates just crying in disbelief. We all called our families and were selfishly thankful that they were all right.

Even though I disagree with some things about my country at times, I am very proud to call myself American and am very proud that my husband has so selflessly volunteered to serve and protect this country to make it a better place. May God Bless America. We will never forget.

Thank you Grandma & Grandpa!

On Thursday, a package was delivered for Avery Grace. It was an early birthday present from Grandma Rose and Grandpa Tom!! She absolutely LOVES it and it keeps her busy for a good while. Thank you so much!! It's the neatest thing...all 5 sides have an activity zone. This will last us a long time! If anyone is interested in buying it for their rugrats (Tammi, Sam and Beth to name a few) I think she got it from Parents (you know the magazine.). I'll double check though. Thanks for stopping by...that's all the excitement for this weekend. :)

Kim, Matt and Avery

Weekend Continued

Avery's First Pony Ride
Me and Beth (and little baby Cletus) :)

Tanner Climbing
Tammi and Tanner eatin their lunch.

Yesterday, Tim, Tammi, Tanner, Evan, Beth, and our family headed down to Windsor, CO for their harvest festival. We had lots of fun and the kiddos had a great time too! Tanner went on the Jumpy-things and Avery had her first pony ride!! It was such a beautiful day...which was sort of unexpected! At least that's what I'll blame my stupidity on for not putting on sunblock! Thankfully I didn't get burnt too bad so all is well.

Bubble Bath

We had to get this on camera! Everytime we give her a bubble bath, she just has to taste them! HAHA It's so funny how the little things fascinate them....I thought it would be funny to put some on her head. We were just having a good ol' time. :)

Wednesday Pictures

Here are the exciting pictures I promised the other day. No cameras were allowed at the concert, so needless to say, these are the only pictures we were able to take. :)

Matt and I ready for the concert!
Miss Beth and Avery...already having fun!! Thanks again!! You are a life saver!!
