Pirates of the Caribbean 2

One really cool thing that happened while we were down in paradise....they were filming Pirates of the Caribbean 2!! Unfortunately, Johnny Depp never made it out to dinner with us, but we got some really neat pictures of the set! Also, for those of you who have seen the first movie, the horshoe rock is where the skeletons of the dead pirates were hanging....look familiar?

One Year Ago...

One year ago, I was just coming home from paradise! I wish I could upload all the pictures of my trip to SVG (St. Vincent and the Grenadines) to my blog, but I'm afraid that would literally take several days!!

Last year I went on a sailing trip with my Dad and some of his friends from back home. I had an absolute blast! I was just about 4 months pregnant with Avery and barely getting over morning sickness. So needless to say it was a very interesting trip! I pretty much ate everything in sight, trying to leave enough rations for everyone else! Ha Ha This was most likely a once in a lifetime opportunity for me and I am so glad I was able to go. Thanks for taking me along Dad! You'll never know how much I appreciate it and how thankful I am that I got to spend that time with you :)

We sailed around St. Vincent and the Grenadines for 10 days in a catamaran. I saw parts of the world that most people will never get to see. I could write and write all day about this trip, but unfortunately I don't have that kind of time! Here are just a few of the pictures we took and believe me, they don't do it justice!

Jump-A-Roo's are fun!

Avery loves to stand and bounce around so we decided to get her a Jump-A-Roo and she absolutely loves it!!!!!! I think if she could eat and sleep in the thing she would.

Where Does Time Go?

I totally stole this idea from my friend Tammi, but I didn't think she'd mind. :) Avery is officially 6 months old (yesterday). I can't believe how fast time has gone!! She had her 6 month check-up today and is doing great! She now weighs 17lbs 7 oz and is 26 in long. What a blessing she is and I can't imagine my life without her.
As you can see, Daddy had to hold her up because she hasn't quite got the "sitting-up" thing down yet, but we're getting there. :)
I'm sure I'll have more pictures later on in the week. We're giving her her first taste of veggies tonight! YUMMY!!

Thanks Girls!!!

Thank you so much to all my girlfriends here in Cheyenne and surrounding areas (AKA Lindsey)!!!! I had such a great time on Sunday and Tammi was right in saying it has been too long. For those of you out-of-towners, my girlfriends took me out for my birthday last Sunday. We had some wine and chit-chatted at Sam's house and then headed to Applebee's for some yummy food!! I am so glad I have met you all and I can't believe we'll be saying goodbye to Julie and Sam. I will miss you both so much and I am so glad to have met you!!!!!!!!!

Nap Time

Our little munchkin is definitely learning how to move around! She started out with her head at one end of the crib for her nap and ended up at the complete opposite end hanging out with her stuffed animal friends. She's crazy!

Avery's First Swimming lesson

Last weekend we took Avery to her first swimming lesson. She had a blast, kicking her little feet in the water. It was such a neat experience and after Matt got done filming a bit of us in the water, he jumped in to join us.

We had a jam packed weekend actually. After swimming lessons on Saturday we decided to head down to FC to get out of town. Matt bought me this WONDERFUL lavender heat wrap for my birthday and I have seriously used it everyday. I love that thing! It was so nice out we just enjoyed walking around Old Town and breathing in the fresh air. Totally different from this weekend since we now have a couple inches of snow! YUCK!

Sunday we were lazy. We took the dog for a much needed trip to the doggy park, did a little shopping and I bought a new purse! Yippee! Then headed to Red Lobster for my birthday dinner. We had a fun weekend!

Playmates

Hopefully no one will come after me about this picture, but I promise it's purely innocent!! Avery adores our dog Sammi so anytime she's near the dog she's constantly reaching out for her. Sammi is constantly licking Avery so the two get along very well, which we are extremely thankful for!!

Play Date

Here are some cute pictures of Avery playing with Evan and Tanner. We had such a great time, even in spite of the infamous "Grape Juice Incident"!! Ha Ha

I don't know about you all, but I think Evan may be a little bit jealous that Avery is using all his toys and the poor kid is just sitting on the floor! Ha Ha

Tammi and I watched "Just Like Heaven" with Oscar Winning actress Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo. Total Chick Flick but I really enjoyed it.

Happy Birthday Hudson!!

OK, so this is really late, but I finally have gotten the chance to upload pics from Hudson's 1st birthday party! I can't believe he's already a year old. He just keeps getting cuter and cuter! I think he's going to break many hearts when he grows up :)

As usual, Bryan and Julie threw a great party. The theme was "Western" and everything was perfect! We had such a great time and I'm so glad we were able to be part of his special day. :)

We're Baaack!

OK, so we've been back for almost a week now, but this is the first chance I've gotten to update the blog. I'll be posting pics from our trip this weekend (hopefully!). We had a great time in OH-IO and Avery was able to meet a lot of family and friends! My brother was even able to come up from Maryland for a day to meet her!

It was a very busy trip, and even though we miss our friends and family so much I can't even tell you, we are glad to be back to the normal routine. Especially Avery! She had had enough of being a social butterfly towards the end of our trip, but she did soooo well! It was her first time on a plane as well and everything went very smooth, for the most part. On the way back to CO she slept almost the entire time! I'm sure the gentleman sitting next to us was extremely thankful! Ha Ha

Matt took me out for a very special Valentine's day while his parents watched Avery for the night. It was our first overnight trip without her, and even though I missed her like crazy, it was nice to get away. We went out for a VERY fancy dinner where I decided my eyes were MUCH bigger than my stomach and ordered a 1lb lobster tail AND a filet!!! Of course I didn't even come close to eating it all! haha

Now we're back in good ol' Wyoming for awhile and we can't wait to see all of our friends tomorrow at Hudson's 1st birthday party!! We missed all of you!

Since this is almost a week later, I'm sure EVERYONE is aware that the Pittsburgh Steelers are the SuperBowl Champions! We had a little get-together at our house Sunday for the big game. We had a great time and ate a TON of good food!!
